JoAllan Gehde, M.Ed.
From an early age, JoAllan felt a calling to educate and inspire. She vividly remembers gathering her dolls, younger brother, and neighborhood friends to lead impromptu lessons, sharing the day’s discoveries from her own school experiences. This innate passion for teaching laid the foundation for her educational journey.
JoAllan attended Colorado State University and the University of Colorado, Denver, where she earned a BA in Communication and an M.Ed. in Secondary English Curriculum and Instruction. She then embarked on a 20+ year career as both a dedicated classroom teacher and a service learning coordinator, where she remained committed to empowering students to reach their fullest potential.
Inspired by her meaningful volunteer work assisting students with post-secondary plans at East High School and driven by a profound desire to expand her impact on students’ academic journeys, JoAllan made the pivotal decision to enter the field of college counseling. Eager to build the necessary expertise, she earned an Independent Educational Consultant certificate from the University of California, Irvine. Now, as an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC) with Antonoff Consulting Group, JoAllan is passionate about working closely with families, guiding them toward fulfilling futures tailored to their unique aspirations.
A proud Colorado native, JoAllan is from Aurora and currently lives in Denver’s vibrant Park Hill neighborhood. She finds joy in the bustling energy of family life with her husband, Ben, their three adult children, a playful six-year-old, and a beloved wheaten terrier. When she’s not immersed in the world of education, JoAllan enjoys Sunday brunches, cheering on Denver’s sports teams, finding serenity in sound baths, tuning into podcasts, and embarking on adventures to new destinations.
JoAllan is an active member of CCC (College Consultants of Colorado) and proudly serves as an associate member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association). She is also a member of HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association) and a volunteer for the Life After East program at Denver East High School, further solidifying her dedication to excellence in educational guidance.
