Marie began her fascination with post-secondary education and colleges as an admission officer at the University of Denver (DU). Subsequently, she began facilitating adult learning in 1986 teaching communication courses at University College, University of Denver while serving as the Associate Dean of University of Denver Admissions. When Marie joined Regis University in 1991, she continued teaching in the Regis College for Professional Studies. At Regis, Marie served in several administrative positions, most recently as the Associate Dean and the Regis Director for Jesuit Worldwide Learning. Marie continues to teach traditional students, adults and refugees in the Anderson College of Business and Computing at Regis. Marie holds a BA, MA and Ph.D. from DU and an MBA from Regis University.
